Nouns Phrases

• A boring friend A boring friend is someone who when you are with him, you don't laugh, you don't do anything and you don't do anything special

• An exciting moment An exciting moment is when you have a good moment, laughing with friends or family and doing something funny.

• An interesting film An interesting film is a film which has action and love, something different about all the normal films.

• A worrying situation A worrying situation is a situation when somebody had an accident that you saw and you don't know what to do. For example last year I saw an accident and it was a terrible and worrying situation.

• An annoying classmate An annoying classmate is someone who is talking always and interrupting the class.

Finish the following sentences

• I get annoyed when someone is annoying me and I tell him to stop, and he don't stop. I hate it.

• I feel embarrassed when somebody tells things about me that I don't want in front of a lot of people.

• I am shocked when I do something im totally sure about and then I see that it was all wrong.

• I feel relaxed when at night I lend on my bed, I open the book, and start reading, is the most relaxing thing in the world.

• I'm not interested in people who always is cheating me, or saying secrets about me that aren't true or something like this.

ANIMAL TESTING

At the moment, in some countries it's legal to do experiments with animals, althought there are arguments both and agains this practice.

On the argument for animal testing is that you can know more things about animals and discover things about the organs; more over, doctors can use this experiments to find cures to diseases.

On the other hand, I think that is horrible because we can't kill animals for us, it's awful. Because os this terrible thing a lot of animals are disappearing.

Al in all, I do not agree with experiments on animals, because if this continues, it will be a big problem for the world, because there will not be animals and we will not be able to eat more meat or other food from animals.

AN ANECDOTE

My grandparents used to tell me a lot of stories about their lives in the past. One day, when we were talking about the past, they explained to me when they first met. As they always talk a lot, I sat down in the sofa.

"A long time ago, when we were very young, I was living in Madrid and your grandfather was living in Barcelona. I was on a television program and all mornings I used to pass in front of the same place. Your grandfather was living in Madrid and he always has seen the program I was going on. Then, your grandfather came to live to Barcelona and by chance, where he worked I every morning pass in front there. One day, we hit accidentally and we made us friends. Two months later more a less we started a relation ship and we took a plane to Madrid to know his family. And by chance, the family knew me because of the TV programe. Your grandfather wasn't remembered that I was on that TV program!"

OPINION ESSAY

Every  year there are more people living in big cities, like New York, Barcelona… Therefore, there are more children growing up in big cities. But we prefer children grow up in the countryside.

Firstly, the children that grow up in little villages have more freedom; they can play outdoors with their friends with security. They have more possibilities to have an accident in big cities due to cars or motorbikes.

Secondly, children are more relaxed in the countryside, because there aren’t a lot of cars like in big cities. And also they don’t hear the horn of the cars and so at night they can sleep better.

Lastly we think that it is better that they live in the countryside because they grow up more confident and calm.
